On the 16th of June, 2021, Mr. Binh Asakura, Representative of the Vietnamese Community attached to the Catholic Isesaki-Church in Gunma Prefecture and Dr. Masahiro Fujiwara, President of the FWEAP signed an agreement affording the former with 943 thousand JPY to be disbursed into the emergency food aid project of the community. The signing ceremony was held online due to the spread of the COVID-19.
This project will support the food aid conducted by the community for the purpose of relieving the settlers, students and technical intern trainees who have been financially suffering from the spread of the COVID-19.
With this financial assistance, food including rice, seasoning such as Nam pla fish sauce and canned food etc. will be distributed free of charge to 156 Vietnamese living in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, plus a few of them in Metropolitan area.
